Sumner County Democrats have fought long and hard for the values they cherish:
* Defending the Middle Class
* Fighting for Public Education
* Protecting our Individual Rights and Privacy
Our candidates: Maria Brewer for State Senate, Sarah Marie Smith for House 40, Steve Glaser for House 44, and Jeanette Jackson for House 45 are all standing strong in tough races to build a better Tennessee for all of us. Please visit their websites, Facebook pages, and lend them your support!
Quote from the endorsement:
“… this election is an appropriate time for voters to think hard about whether they want to return their incumbent representatives and senators to Capitol Hill, or seek fresh faces who might be able to at least turn the conversation in 2013 to the pocketbook concerns that are paramount in this state.”
Strangely at odds with their sentiments about local races, The Tennessean endorsed Mitt Romney (circa 2003) for president. The value of this endorsement is unclear, however, given that Mitt Romney (circa 2012) is on the ballot!
Don’t forget! The SCDP office at 1194 Long Hollow Pike in Gallatin is where you can stock up on Obama gear, as well as bumper stickers & yard signs for all our Sumner County candidates. Office hours Tues & Thurs: 2pm-6pm and Saturday 10am-2pm
