This slightly confusing chart (and the full report available here) makes 3 main points:
- 99 percent of working families and individuals in Tennessee benefitted from at least one of the tax cuts signed into law by President Obama.
- Working people in Tennessee received $921, on average, from these breaks.
- These tax breaks benefitted working people at all income levels.
Surely if they are Taxed Enough Already, then the SURG crowd gathering on April 15 would be celebrating these TAX CUTS. Given that all but 3 GOP members of congress voted against the tax cuts that were in the Recovery Act, the SURGers should have plenty of nice things to say about Obama and the Democratic Congress.
But somehow, I doubt that will be the theme of the evening.
