Diversity takes center stage with candidates in 2022
The Sumner County Democratic Party (SCDP) is pleased to announce seven Democratic candidates have qualified for the May 3 primary election with five running for County Commission seats and two running for School Board positions. This is more Democratic candidates than Sumner County has seen in years.
“The SCDP has been focused on recruiting candidates and raising funds for several years with the goal to run a historic number of candidates in the 2022 election, and we’re seeing that hard work come to fruition now.” said SCDP Chair, Jessie McKinney. “We’re thankful for everyone who has contributed to our cause, and we can’t wait to bring Democratic choices to the ballot this year.”
