Sumner Dems Give Back: Stay Warm Shelter

Sumner Dems Give Back: Stay Warm Shelter

This winter, the Sumner County Democratic Party is collecting donations for the Stay Warm Shelter in Gallatin. Run by Deborah Alston Barr, the Stay Warm Shelter partners with a local church to provide hot meals and housing to those experiencing homelessness in Sumner County.

The shelter operates every Friday—and some Saturdays—in January and February. The organization also works year-round to provide resources to those in need. Made possible by volunteers and community donations, the Stay Warm Shelter has served the unhoused population in Sumner County for more than 10 years.
