Where to Vote in Sumner County for the August 2026 Election
Local elections in Sumner County are coming up on August 6, 2026. If you vote on Election Day, you must do so at your designated polling place. However, if you vote early, you can vote at any of Sumner County's early voting locations. This offers some flexibility by allowing you to choose a day, time, and location that's convenient for you.

Early Voting Locations
Early voting for the August 6 election runs from July 17 - August 1, 2026. As stated above, if you vote early, you can vote at any of the early voting location.
Sumner County's main early voting locations are in Gallatin and Hendersonville. These locations are open Monday - Saturday throughout the entire early voting window.
There are also satellite locations that are open for one day only during early voting. These are in Portland, White House, Westmoreland, and Goodlettsville.

Election Day
If you vote on Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling place between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. You can find your polling location using Tennessee's Voter Registration Lookup tool.
Your polling place can change between elections for various reasons. Don’t wait in line on Election Day only to find out you're at the wrong location. Double check your polling place before you leave the house, just to be sure.
As a reminder, Election Day is Thursday, August 6. Many important local positions will be on the ballot, including County Commission and School Board.
